Role: Health and Safety Officer

Salary: £22,200

An opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety professional to join our Company based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire to oversee all aspects of health and safety.

We are looking for a candidate with competencies such as being a good team player, with the ability to produce high results consistently, good customer focus and good planning and organisation as well as self-motivation and discipline.

This is a permanent position working 3 days per week, 9am until 5pm.

The Company:

We are a long-standing family run business with over fifty years’ experience within the construction industry, specialising in construction design, build and refurbishment, plus reactive/planned maintenance and repairs, and insurance restoration works.

Health and Safety Officer Main Duties:

  • To advise the company on health and safety issues and legislation.
  • To carry out risk assessments.
  • To undertake safety audits / site inspections.
  • To ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
  • To record incidents & accidents and produce statistics.
  • To write method statements for works.

Health and Safety Officer Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • To possess a NEBOSH certificate or any equivalent certification.
  • A background in construction.
  • Must currently be a Health and Safety professional.
