The Seòl Trust is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group which is a provider of specialist day and residential services for children, young people and adults throughout the UK.  We use a distinctive Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) approach in the delivery of our care and education services that draws on the insights of Rudolf Steiner and has been developed over three decades.

The Seòl Trust has recently taken over responsibility for most of the beautiful 60 acre Fairhill/Pishwanton Wood in East Lothian, Scotland and this will be the base for an innovative provision for adults with special needs, offering practical experience with land-based activities and some crafts


Salary: Grade 14:15 - £43,672 to £51,397 per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications)

Applications are invited for this new role which will be responsible for building up, developing and managing the provision at Fairhill/Pishwanton, and contributing to strategic developments elsewhere in Scotland.

You will be confident and comfortable leading teams, providing clear direction and managing and developing programmes in line with the Seol Trust’s vision. You will oversee the local provision and be an active member of the Seòl Trust’s management team whose remit is to oversee both the development of the existing provision at Fairhill/Pishwanton and the development of new projects and services elsewhere in Scotland, ensuring that Fairhill/Pishwanton and any future provision in Scotland are effectively managed, are financially viable and are aligned with Ruskin Mill Trust’s Vision, Values, Purpose & Method.  You will also work closely with any future residential management to ensure a holistic and high quality approach to care.

In order to build up this new service, you will be closely involved in promoting and advertising it and growing the number of clients who use the site, so it is key that you bring with you your past experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, marketing, growth management and working with key stakeholders and building client groups.
