MAINTENANCE WORKER

£17,943.00 – £19,443 pro rata per annum

16 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Based at Argent College, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

 

This is an exciting and innovative college run by Ruskin Mill Trust, which is a leading independent provider of specialist care and education for young people and adults with learning and complex needs. Situated right in the heart of Birmingham, The New Standard Works, which houses Argent College, is a Grade II Listed building on Vittoria Street in the Jewellery Quarter.

We are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Worker to assist with the upkeep of all areas of the college property and associated sites.

Main Duties:

  • Assisting in planned reactive and preventative maintenance schedule when requested.
  • To maintain office and teaching spaces as required
  • To carry out repairs to furniture;
  • To carry out outdoor building projects, including landscaping and fencing in conjunction with the Maintenance Coordinator;
  • To visit local merchants to obtain materials as required.
  • To maintain equipment such as machinery and tools that are required to carry out the duties of the role;
  • Current full UK driving licence and use of own car or willingness to travel by public transport (Essential).
