Job Details

Transform Residential Limited is the associated residential provision of The Ruskin Mill Trust Group which operates five colleges Birmingham, Horsley (Gloucestershire), Pembrokeshire, Sheffield, and Stourbridge, an associated site in Darlington, as well as an independent specialist school in Sheffield.  We provide innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.

 

 

Applications are invited for the following post that will be based in Stourbridge.

Link Worker

40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year

Grade 5:6   £19,143 - £22,631 per annum including market rate supplement

starting salary will be subject to qualifications and experience

 Permanent Position

 

The post holder will work as a lead support for a specific young person with their home school curriculum and eventual transition to one of Ruskin Mill Trust’s colleges.

You will ensure appropriate care and support of the young person including medical needs, dietary needs and personal care/hygiene.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with sensory difficulties and you must be able to think creatively to develop a bespoke learning environment.

You will also be expected to attend training sessions as required by the Trust, which may be outside of your usual working hours.

An interactive induction is provided with the opportunity to try out crafts and the student experience.
