Deputy Head of Residential

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the committed Residential Team based at Ruskin Mill College based in Nailsworth, Stroud

The core purpose of this role is to formally deputise for the Head of Residential and ensure operational leadership and management of a range of residential provision to customers in the locality. You will work directly with the Head of Residential to ensure the delivery of an appropriate extended curriculum programme to the service user within their residential provision while meeting the requirements of all regulatory bodies, including CQC, CSSIW, Ofsted and Estyn.

This residential provision currently uses a range of mediums including Shared Lives Scheme, managed team houses, home-providers, training flats or other depending on the needs of the service user.  If successful you would become the Registered Manager for CQC inspections and responsible for supporting and monitoring an allocated group of Shared Lives Providers. You will also ensure that Shared Lives Providers are appropriately trained and supported.  

The post holder must have significant operational experience in a care environment working with all levels of staff and management, high levels of personal resilience, emotional and social intelligence and ideally have knowledge of Rudolf Steiner Holistic Education.

Due to the locations of some of our team houses and Shared Lives Providers – being a driver with access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.
