Young Animal Feed Specialist

We are currently looking to recruit a specialist position  focussing on Young Animal Feed. The purpose of the role is to develop and implement new product marketing plans to achieve future sales and profit objectives for allocated products together with providing technical support to customers.

Reporting to the Ruminant Technical Business Manager, you will use your personal expertise, experience and technical knowledge, to develop the strategy and plan to achieve budgets according to current trends and customer needs. You will manage least cost formulations of CMR and formulation of YAF products, including the assessment of new ingredients and sources.

You will also work closely with the Marketing Manager and Account Managers to deliver new products and concepts to the market, to drive promotion of YAF and Nutreco products to contribute to profit growth.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisation skills and be able to communicate at all levels, to deliver product training and technical support within the organisation, and with customers including distributors, vets and farm users as needed.

You must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Applicants will have experience of the animal feed industry and livestock production, with a sound knowledge of current markets. As this role requires a mix of commercial and technical ability a degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Biological Sciences or Agriculture would be essential.
