Buyer – Permanent – Telford

We are recruiting with a Telford based, manufacturer for a new Buyer. Based in their modern facility, this permanent position will suit an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Planner / Direct Purchaser who is looking for a new opportunity in a supportive business. The stand alone will suit an experienced applicant who has experience within manufacturing and is used to working with UK and foreign suppliers.

To be considered, you’ll have a good understanding of manufacturing processes within precision engineering / assembly.

Based in a small team, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Supplier performance reviews
• Placing orders
• New Supplier review and negotiation
• Planning
• Investigate and mange supplier delivery and quality issues
• KPI reporting
• Drive cost reduction and quality improvements
• Maintain ERP

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you MUST have worked in a similar role, ideally within a bespoke assembly / manufacturing / precision engineering / electro-mechanical environment.

You’ll have string communication and organisational skills as you’ll be working closely with various teams within the organisation.

You will also have experience with manufacturing processes, purchasing, MRP or ERP management systems & working with ISO9001 quality documentation.

The site is commutable from Telford, Shrewsbury, Newport, Shifnal, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth etc
