Technical Sales Consultant – Permanent – Shrewsbury
We are recruiting exclusively with an engineering specialist in Shrewsbury for a new Senior, Technical Sales Executive / Sales Engineer. This new permanent position will suit an experienced & tenacious sales professional who is looking for a new, rewarding opportunity with a genuine industry leader.
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Increase number new business enquiries and conversions
- Follow up on incoming enquiries
- Follow up on quotes & opportunities
- Build relationships with existing clients
- Update CRM
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will ideally already be an experienced technical / sales engineer, ideally within an engineering or construction related industry but experienced, professional sales consultants / sales executives from other industries will be considered. Experience of selling a technical product is desired.
You will ideally have an HND/HNC or equivalent (or higher) in an Engineering / IT / other technical discipline – experience with electrical engineering is advantageous.
You will be professional, hard-working and self-motivated to deliver an 1st class service to your customers whilst being a strong team player, working with and supporting the other departments within the business.
Strong communication and sales techniques are of course required, as is an engineering background and understanding.
The role comes with a generous salary starting c£25000 basic (DOE) but with a structured bonus structure and career path with associated reward and pay reviews.
Based in Shrewsbury, but requiring occasional travel around the UK, the office is commutable from Telford, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge etc
