Role: Building / Insurance Surveyor

Salary: £30,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building / Insurance Surveyor to join a Company based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.

This is a varied role and the successful candidate will be required to undertake surveys for reinstatements, repairs, insurance restoration and maintenance works, cost the works, and Project Manage small repair works.

We are looking for a candidate with competencies such as being a good team player, able to produce high results consistently, good customer focus and good planning and organisation as well as self-motivation and discipline.

The Building / Insurance Surveyor will be part of the projects team and will report to the Projects Director. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 5 days per week.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary of £30,000 per annum

The Company:

We are a long-standing family run business with over fifty years’ experience within the construction industry, specialising in construction design, build and refurbishment, plus reactive/planned maintenance and repairs, and insurance restoration works.

We are now looking for a Building / Insurance Surveyor to join our team.

 

Building / Insurance Surveyor Main Duties:

  • To undertake site surveys to assess damage for insurance reinstatement works and price works on schedules of rates.
  • To undertake site surveys for reactive maintenance and to price repair works.
  • To estimate works when no schedules of rates are used.
  • To organise and project manage small works ensuring they are completed on budget and to schedule.
  • To liaise with clients, sub-contractors and team members.
  • To comply with health and safety regulations.

 

Building / Insurance Surveyor Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience of Insurance works desirable,
  • Knowledge of SOR codes would be advantageous.
