Location – Leeds, LS15

Salary - to £23,000 + Bonus

We’re currently going through an improvement project that will allow you to conduct system & script tests, helping us to debug and streamline our processes.

The successful candidate will have previous SAP or Oracle experience, be an advanced Excel user and ideally have experience within a Construction industry organisation.

The role:

You will use your experience of processing, reviewing and verifying invoices, Flagging and clarifying any unusual or questionable invoices / purchasing activities to ensure best practice. Typical tasks will include preparing and processing electronic payments, issuing company cheques, monitoring accounts and ensuring payment details are correct and up to date, communicating via phone and email with internal stakeholders and external vendors / suppliers, work closely with internal parties to help them understand the company policies and processes and support the team by offering ideas for improvement and better ways of working.

Expertise, knowledge and experience required

  • CCAB qualified / Qualified by experience
  • Minimum two year experience working within an Accounts Payable function
  • Minimum two years working experience in a customer facing role
  • Working knowledge / experience of procurement procedures & policies
  • Proven track record /extensive experience in a high volume, high value Accounts Payable function servicing the business over £200m per annum, minimum 80k transactions, supplier base over 800
  • Proven track record of excellent communication
  • Proven track record of query / complaint resolution
  • Proven working experience in the application of CIS (construction industry Scheme)
  • Ariba commerce automation software
  • Competent in the use of Standard Microsoft Office Packages
  • Demonstrable experience in the application of ERP (Enterprise resource planning) tool, preferably SAP or Oracle
  • Sound understanding of the full purchase to pay cycle
  • Understanding of the coding of VAT and various rates

  • £23,000 per annum dependent upon experience
  • Based at Thorpe Park, Leeds. (Free parking)
  • Permanent, Personal Contract
  • Up to 5% bonus
