Our Client, based in Nottingham, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer join their growing Marketing team working on a part time basis, or self employed basis with earnings between £35k - £40k per annum pro rata, based on working 3 - 4 days per week

The Role:

The organisation are looking for an experienced Web Developer to provide technical knowhow and solutions to help keep their websites running smoothly.

Following a period of growth, the company is looking to invest further in its organic online presence, and as such is looking for a Developer to join it’s busy Nottingham-based team.

Working within the central marketing function, you’ll be tasked with identifying, proposing and implementing any opportunities for improvements to company websites. With a particular focus on international SEO, the successful candidate will have a broad understanding of basic front-end languages (HTML, CSS & JavaScript), experience working on WordPress Multi-sites, and communicate well as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Optimising the existing website structure and content for best practice international SEO.
  • Continually improve the suit of (25+) international sites with new development projects.
  • Be a great team player with the ability to collaborate closely with developers, designers and senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the in-house designer to transform designs to fully functioning pages

Requirements;

  • Proven UI track record and portfolio.
  • Previous experience of international SEO.
  • Strong understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Confident optimising for both desktop and mobile
  • Experience of working with WordPress sites.
  • Creative ideas with a problem-solving mind-set.
  • Ability to estimate time for coding for given projects
  • Appetite for personal learning
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with SEO related tools including (Google Analytics, Search Console etc.)

Although this is an in-house marketing position, due to the nature of the organisation it would be well suited to a candidate with agency experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow a brand on an international scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the organic online performance, in order to help support the company’s ambitious growth plans over the next few years.

Terms & Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week, although part time working would be considered, 
  • Salary of between £35k - £40k per annum pro rata;
  • 23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 25;
  • Contributory Company Pension Scheme;
