The role:

Supporting the Northern HRBP and your colleagues, you will need to be comfortable working at pace, as an experienced HR Advisor you'll be aware that there are occasions that will see you needing to think on your feet and adapt to the role requirements. Your main daily tasks will see you supporting mainstream case management through all stages, while taking in to consideration the level of risk, employment legislation, custom and best practice.

As well as this the HR Advisor will provide support across the wider HR team in other areas required, for example, reward activities & assessment centres. Working collaboratively with the HR Team, HR Business Partners and the HR Advisors will promote a strong team culture.

This HR Advisor role will be based in the Thorpe Park, Leeds (LS15) which is in the south of our network. However, the role will predominantly support the North based HRBP and North based operations teams, together within some corporate functions. Travel will be required to attend management of attendance, disciplinary, performance and grievance meetings/hearings across our network.

  • Assist / Guide Managers on HR related policies and legislation
  • Grievance, Disciplinary, Performance and Attendance issue management
  • Deliver coaching and training on HR related topics
  • Case management
  • Travel to sites across the region to support field based personnel
  • Update the company HR systems with necessary information

Key Competencies / Experience / Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
  • Team player
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Previous HR Officer / Advisor experience
  • Good knowledge of employment law
  • Previous experience of Case / Hearing management
  • Professional and Friendly communication style
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • HAY job evaluation trained
  • Knowledge and proficiency in HR systems e.g. SAP/Success factors/Peoplesoft
  • Understanding and working knowledge of wider HR functions e.g. recruitment/onboarding/reward.

The Package:

  • Permanent, Personal Contract
  • Salary between £27,000 and £30,000 (depending on experience)
  • Up to 10% bonus
  • 25 days holiday per year, plus 8 bank holidays and 2 half days (Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve)
  • SSP for 7 days the Occupational sick pay
