Enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Children’s Home Manager required to join flexible and growing children’s care provider in Stockport to manage an excellent team and contribute to the growth of the organisation on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to have their ideas heard, develop themselves and really make a difference to the outcomes of children in care.

Registered Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a high standard of care across the Home in line with regulations, quality standards and best practice
  • Maintaining current and relevant knowledge of appropriate legislation, frameworks and best practice and ensuring the effective communication of changes to the staff team
  • Effectively leading, managing and developing the staff team, resolving any issues in a pragmatic manner at the earliest opportunity
  • Implementation and monitoring of organisational policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance from the team
  • Participating in ‘on call’ duties including taking out of hours calls where required

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to easily build relationships with young people, employees and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse team to drive engagement and motivation
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Patience and ability to manage challenging behaviours in a constructive and positive way
  • Confident and willing to contribute own ideas to continually improve the practices and outcomes of an expanding children’s care provider
