AV Technician

AV Technician / Project Manager – Permanent – Telford / UK & Worldwide Travel

We are recruiting with a market leader in the provision of technical solutions for various conferences, exhibitions and live events around the world. Expanding rapidly, they now require a new AV Technician to help enable this continued growth by offering a great level of technical help and customer service to clients.

The role will require you commuting to Telford on a regular basis but will also require regular travel and nights away. This travel will be around the UK and further afield on occasion.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Perform advanced setup and derig of equipment at customer premises, hotels conference venues and exhibition centres
• Work as part of a larger team to deliver large scale IT and AV projects
• Deliver and collect equipment to our customers, all over the UK, but mainly inside the M25
• Load and unload equipment from our vehicles
• Go above and beyond to deliver the best customer service possible to our clients
• Act as a customer contact to establish and confirm project details
• Develop detailed project plans
• Management and installation of various scale IT and AV projects
• Go above and beyond to deliver the best customer service possible
• UK & International travel

To be considered for this excellent opportunity within a supportive and innovative industry leader, you’ll have a solid level of experience within the AV industry - LED experience is also CRUCIAL. You’ll have excellent customer facing and communication skills plus be well organised.

Experience of operating lighting and sound equipment would be a bonus, but what we are really after is a grounding in video technology with excellent IT and networking skills.

In return for your passion and commitment we can offer you a basic salary of up to £25,000 based on a 37.5hr week. As they work in a 24/7 industry flexibility to work over 7 days will be required, and there will be early starts and late finishes. For this, you'll receive generous overtime and are expected to earn in excess of £35k pa. 

The Telford site is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Walsall, Stafford, Stone, Market Drayton, Wednesbury, Kingswinford, Dudley, Halesowen but the role does require worldwide travel etc
