IT Support Desk Manager, IT Support Company based in Wolston, salary £30,000 to £35,000 per annum

The Company was established in 2003 and we have been providing support to small and medium-sized companies that do not have IT staff, or who require additional resources. Our clients range from all sectors and no office day is the same. Our vision is to be a national presence in the next 5-8 years with offices in the Midlands, north and south of England. Our current location is the West Midlands. Commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Leicester.

We are now recruiting an IT Support Desk Manager to join our expanding business, to coordinate the operations within the IT Support Desk Team and provide highly responsible and complex IT support throughout the organisation and to the company’s customers.

This is a full-time, permanent role.

IT Support Desk Manager Main Duties:

  • Leading the IT Support Desk, delivering efficient and friendly customer focused support.
  • Implementing IT troubleshooting.
  • Identifying and implementing new or improved systems/technologies to support business strategies.
  • Leading IT projects and initiatives in the business, ensuring projects and activities are delivered according to the agreed objectives and timescales.
  • Overseeing the development, implementation and administration of service desk procedures and policies.
  • Team management and development and support of staff.
  • Providing regular reporting on service performance to the IT Senior Management team.
  • Supplier management, including monitoring effective service desk and property delivery.

IT Support Desk Manager Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 years senior IT practice in a multi-site operation / on the job experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships.
  • Experience of advising Senior/Line Managers on IT Policies.
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining Business applications.
  • Experience of working in partnership with other organisations/departments/colleagues to drive forward continuous improvement within their remit.
  • Experience of procurement and contract management.
  • Experience of providing training to users.
