Production & Installation Manager - Blindley Heath, Lingfield​

An exciting and challenging opportunity for an aspiring professional to become part of a closely coordinated team in an expanding company. 

A leading manufacturer of glass balustrades requires a Production & Installation Manager with excellent organisational skills to oversee internal production and manage installation projects.

The role demands the ability to deliver controlled and predictable results through the skilled management of people, precise application of processes, and expert customer coordination.

Key qualities are a “Right First Time” attitude combined with an ethos of continuous improvement. Management experience in manufacturing/production is also required, as well as a first-hand understanding of installation processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, motivate and develop team leaders and staff to achieve targets and objectives
  • Run daily coordination meetings with department heads to determine production requirements and ensure resources are in place to achieve these
  • Monitor and manage all stages of the production line from drawing to delivery using a system of regular reports
  • Implement and maintain standard processes and policies across the production division and ensure that these are applied in all areas at all times
  • Implement methods to improve quality, productivity, efficiency and material use
  • Oversee Planning, Manufacturing, Packing, Warehouse and Logistics Departments to ensure customer orders are assembled, packed and delivered on schedule
  • Oversee Purchasing Department to ensure sufficient stock of all materials is available to achieve timely delivery of customer orders
  • Plan and organise installation projects from pre-contract site meeting through to completion
  • Oversee progress on installation projects and manage teams to meet targets and schedules
  • Review and monitor ongoing installation projects and provide regular internal status reports
  • Maintain constant control of all projects through close coordination with Site Managers to anticipate and prevent problems and resolve emergencies
  • Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and HR requirements are in place and met in all areas
  • Coordinate with HR and Training Department to develop materials for improving staff performance
  • Conduct and complete staff appraisals as and when required

Must be computer literate – strong Microsoft Suite skills

Experience with CAD software (desirable)

First class customer service skills

Onsite experience

Working hours 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
