Multi-drop Delivery Driver / Quality Controller (Catering Butcher)

MULTI-DROP DELIVERY DRIVER & QUALITY CONTROLLER

FULL TIME 40 HOURS (ALL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS OFF)

Midland Foods Ltd is an established, friendly, family run business supplying thousands of products to a wide variety of clients from our long-established base in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.  We have a vacancy for a multi-drop delivery driver covering the Midlands area.  Experience in the meat industry, or working with temperature-controlled product is advantageous, however is not a requirement as full training will be given to the successful candidate.

Your position will require self-motivation and the initiative to ensure customers deliveries are completed within scheduled time frames, have good organisation and communication skills.  You may be asked to be flexible on your working hours as a normal working week would be 5 days and occasional Saturdays on a rota basis may be required with early start and frinish times. Saturday will be paid as overtime.

You will be required to make deliveries of fresh meat products to hotels, restaurants, hospitals and schools.  Therefore, we will need to carry out a DRBS check as compliance with our contracts. A clean driving licence is required and knowledge of the Midlands area is beneficial. You will have to be responsible for the cleanliness of your allotted van and monitor servicing, MOT’s etc.

In addition you will be required to work in our Quality Control department of our production process.So this will require meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of meat will be an advantage.

The role can be either full time or the successful applicant can be considered for not working school holidays.
