Handyperson / Maintenance Worker - Castleford

We are currently recruiting for a general Handyperson / Maintenance worker based at our Ritz Bingo Club in Castleford.  The role will include performing upkeep tasks such as general repairs, painting, basic carpentry and plumbing, and ensuring our facilities are tidy and functional.

Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance
• Various basic repairs to seats, tables, other areas of the Club etc
• Occasional fixes to leaking taps or other items in kitchen/toilet areas
• Small scale painting to maintain a fresh and clean environment
• Changing light bulbs
• Assisting with deliveries from suppliers including movement of stock items around the Club
• The role may also include any other general maintenance and support duties to assist the smooth running of the Club

Skills & Experience:

• Previous Maintenance / Handyperson / DIY experience
• Good eye for detail
• Being organised, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard
• Copes well under pressure
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication skills

Working Hours:

This is a part time position, working around 10 hours per week, with a rate of pay of £7.83 per hour plus double pay if you work on a designated bank holiday day.

Our hours of operation are generally from 11am to 10pm 7 days per week and work patterns are expected to be prior to opening over 2-4 days per week on a flexible basis.
