(Part Time) Accounts Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a large, well established organisation in Shrewsbury for a (Part Time) Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join them on a permanent basis.

The hours of work will be 20 - 25 hours per week, spread across 5 days, but daily hours to suit.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have worked in a similar Accounts Assistant role where you have worked with both USA and UK currency. You MUST also have experience with Quickbooks and Xero.

Working as a part of a small team, you’re duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledgers
  • Run BACs payments
  • Credit control
  • Dealing with Accounts queries by phone and email

The ideal candidate will have a stable background in accounts. You’ll be well presented and have a professional, polite approach. You’ll need to be able to offer a degree of flexibility on occasion with your hours of work, but this will be reciprocal.

You’ll ideally be AAT qualified, but this is not essential. Please note though, that an AAT qualification on its own, won’t be enough to be considered relevant experience for the post.

Salary is competitive and dependant on experience.

Based in Shrewsbury, this role is potentially commutable from Telford, Market Drayton, Newtown, Oswestry and Welshpool.
