Applications are invited for the following post that will be based at Clervaux Café and Bakery in Darlington

Zero hour contract – there are a variable number of hours and shifts available each week

Grade 2 – Full Time Equivalent salary is £14,947 - £16,350 per annum dependent on age and experience.

The successful applicant will work as part of the Clervaux Café and Bakery team, which produces high quality food from locally sourced suppliers as well as our own Biodynamic/Organic produce grown or reared in Croft on Tees. The café has recently been taken over by Ruskin Mill Trust which supports service users with special educational needs and will move to become more involved with the local community.

Key Duties include:

  • To take a role in Clervaux Cafe front of house, barista work, taking orders and serving customers while role modelling appropriate behaviours for service users who may be doing work experience in the café.
  • To follow food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

To undertake this position successfully you will have:

  • Experience of working within a catering environment.
  • Experience of working with young people with learning disabilities / learning difficulties and of managing challenging behaviour is desirable but not a requirement. Successful applicants will share their working environment with service users and may be required to work directly with them.

 

We also have a nutrition policy which focuses on Biodynamic and Organic food so we are keen to see applicants who share our passion for nutrition and seasonal cooking.

A flexible and professional approach to work is required.
