Exciting opportunity for an experienced full time Technical Assistant at Droitwich, with a salary of between £25k and £27k depending on experience

Now a team of Chemists, Technical Specialists, Administrators and Sales professionals we continue to provide an exceptional service to our customers. Chloros Environmental endeavour to deliver ethical and sustainable waste management services with a strong emphasis on diverting waste away from landfill and towards recycling routes. At Chloros Environmental we treat our employees, customers, their waste and the environment, with care.

Due to our continuing success, we are now looking to expand our team of Technical Assistants.  The role will be to work as part of the technical and operational team to correctly classify hazardous wastes coming into and out of the transfer station in line with the permit requirements and to ensure the upmost standard of compliance are achieved. To also assist Management with the day-to-day administration requirements of a growing hazardous waste Management Company. To assist the sales team with enquiries in a customer facing and administration role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical site support & monitoring;
  • Assisting the Technical Team with classification requirements;
  • Technical assessment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with procedures and input into our integrated waste management software database system;
  • Monitoring the quality of paperwork coming into and out of site, including third-parties, and reporting;
  • Maintaining and updating the quality management system;
  • Participate in customer and supplier site audits;
  • Generation of legal paperwork for UK & Europe;
  • Booking of outgoing waste loads;
  • Arranging Transport and Haulage services;
  • Site visits (where required);
  • Assisting the sales team with technical queries;
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice;
  • Ensuring compliance with UK and European Health & Safety and Environmental legislation;
  • Assisting the operations team in other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Minimum Degree Level in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related Discipline.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail in all forms of work

We seek to employ a person who has sound technical knowledge of Chemicals and their associated hazards as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be hard working and meticulous in their approach to work.

Terms & Benefits
