RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKERS
40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Grade 4:5 £17,429 - £20,643 pro rata, per annum including market supplement + sleepover rate of £70.50
Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience
Applications are invited for the role of Residential Support Worker, based in Clynderwen, Pembrokeshire. Shifts involve working primarily during the evenings and weekends, including sleepovers.
Transform Residential Limited currently offers residential support for students who attend Coleg Plas Dwbl in Clynderwen, Pembrokeshire for Ruskin Mill College, which is one of three independent specialist further education colleges operated by Ruskin Mill Trust, providing Practical Skill Therapeutic Education for young people aged 16 to 25 years who have a range of learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders and behaviours that challenge.
Our service is continually developing and we are always looking for committed individuals who feel they can help us to achieve our aims. Individual development is given the highest priority together with the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of a positive and progressive service.
Within our residential team houses we are looking for the right people to become members of the residential team, providing safe and constructive placements for young people who have complex and challenging needs. An empathetic approach is needed to create a warm, safe and stimulating environment. You will possess a commitment to equality and diversity with the ability to relate positively to young people. Good verbal and written communication skills are needed, along with enthusiasm, insight and creativity. It is also desirable for the post-holder to hold an NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification along with work experience in related areas, are all qualities that would help to make a positive change in our young people's lives.
Due to the locations of some of our team houses – being a driver with access to your own vehicle would be advantageous
