An exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain Team of growing 1st Tier OEM & Aftermarket Automotive supplier based in Coventry. The role will play a key part in the activities of the department and there will be opportunities for growth with potential for this role to develop into a more senior role within the business. 

Summary of Position

Reporting to Supply Chain Coordinator, The Supply Chain Analyst will have responsibilities right across the supply chain function from front end sales, material planning (to include schedule reconciliation), master production scheduling, MRP, vendor scheduling and expediting.

Core Responsibilities

  • To ensure accurate sales information is available through the BAAN system and that accurate, up-to-date and consistent schedules are in place with the supplier base to achieve the sales order book whilst maintaining customer OTIF and minimal raw material in line with inventory targets.
  • Work closely with the Customer to deliver requirements and resolve issues when they arise to ensure excellent levels of customer satisfaction, measured from feedback from surveys.
  • Ensuring that all customer schedules are downloaded and any variances established and corrected before confirming with suppliers, customers and site production teams.
  • Using planning tools to manipulate and review sales demand to provide optimum supplies of materials (resolving MOQ issues) to achieve order book with minimum material inventory but allowing flexibility to meet customer demand fluctuations.
  • Liaise closely with site based teams including warehousing and production Team Leaders to raise production orders while ensuring that they are fully briefed of sales and vendor schedules and informed of expected deliveries of time critical parts/materials.
  • Liaise with Commercial team to ensure that all sales enquiries are responded to with quotations that meet customer requirements while maximising benefits to the Company.
  • Review ‘supercessions’ and new assembly data through the appropriate handover documents to ensure that the data is accurate and profiled correctly.
  • Expedite raw materials to ensure material availability to achieve order book and OTIF.
  • Review inventory levels against sales demand on a weekly cycle.
  • To act as a flexible member of the Supply Chain Team to support colleagues and cover suppliers and customers as required.

  • 100% OTIF delivery
  • Effective stock management to ensure enough supply is available to produce all orders while not creating surplus that leads to waste stock or takes up unnecessary warehouse storage.
