Customer Service Manager based in Leeds offering a salary of £25,000 + Commission + Benefits

As the Customer Service Manager (UK) – Golf Operations you will be working at our Head Office in Leeds within an overall Customer Service Team but specifically dealing with our portfolio of golf clubs in the UK to ensure that we provide them with world class service.

This is a customer service and sales focused role, so you will liaise with a Golf Sales Manager (UK) within the Golf Operations Department to ensure that they provide you with a smooth hand-over of all new projects, so you manage that relationship from the cradle to the grave. You will be dealing with all club queries, questions and feedback providing them with the relevant information and answers in a timely fashion.

The ideal Customer Service Manager:

  • Must live within easy commutable distance to our Head Office in Leeds
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong sales and customer service background in a corporate environment and be able to evidence your success in your current or previous roles
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Client interfacing ability with confidence
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective relationship building capacity with client, partner, and internal team at different levels in the organisation
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

The role of Customer Service Manager:

  • Work closely with a UK golf sales team in Leeds plus field-based Territory Managers who cover specific areas of the UK
  • Responsible for the retention of our clubs negotiating with them to extend their contracts at the appropriate times
  • Forge a close working relationship with other departmental managers in the business as the project takes shape and we provide a fantastic end-product to our golf club clients
  • Achieve retention targets by successfully managing our portfolio of golf clubs working in tandem with the golf operations sales team
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting golf club relationships by understanding their needs and ensuring they are using all the features of the package enabling them to successfully benefit and generate income.
  • Deal with all golf club questions, queries and feedback
  • Present retention, expenses, car mileage, commission reports and realistic forecasts to the management team including a weekly report
  • Own and hit annual retention targets using a mixture of approaches including but not limited to telephone, email, face-to-face and social media including LinkedIn
  • Support Territorial Account Managers and attend various relationship golf club meetings with them for teaching and coaching purposes 
  • Attend and deliver successful networking events throughout the UK at our host golf clubs;  
  • Liaise with the Technical Services team to ensure that golf clubs are receiving all aspects of their package as per the contract
