Safeguarding Coordinator

Safeguarding Coordinator 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Salary:  £31,401- £36,153 per annum

Grade 5

Location – Service Headquarters, Newsham Court, Calcot, Reading

You will have a duty of care and be responsible for receiving and processing all safeguarding alerts raised by the service under our corporate measure timeframe. You must be responsible for the co-ordination of training, security of information, self-assessment reports and updating the service procedures in line with Berkshire Local Children’s Safeguarding Boards, Safeguarding Adult Boards and National Legislation. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in Safeguarding and share information as necessary to reduce risk and safeguard the Service and the community.

You must have a comprehensive knowledge of GDPR, Safeguarding and other relevant legislation including an understanding of the National PREVENT Strategies, Modern Slavery and all vulnerable groups. We are seeking an individual who has experience of safeguarding both vulnerable adults and children
