Freeman College - Ruskin Mill Trust

The Ruskin Mill Educational Trust operates three colleges in Stourbridge (West Midlands), Nailsworth (Gloucestershire) and Freeman College in Sheffield provides an innovative and experiential education for young people with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin. 

Applications are invited for the following posts that will be based in Sheffield. 

Cleaner

Grade 1 (Full Time Equivalent £16,350)

20 hours per week, 4 hours every morning, Monday to Friday.

Predominantly based in the city centre.

Pro Rata Salary £8,174

Position to undertake all cleaning duties at Freeman College as necessary. The key duties of this role include,

• Cleaning offices, workshops, toilets and other areas, including vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting surfaces, emptying bins etc. to a high standard.
• Ensuring best practice and complying with Health and Safety and COSHH legislation. Ensuring cleaning products and materials are stored securely and safely.

The criteria required to undertake this position successfully include,

• Experience of working unsupervised in a similar role.
• Experience of working to time constraints and managing time effectively.
• Knowledge and understanding of cleaning products, the use of cleaning utensils, hygiene and cleanliness.

A flexible and professional approach to work is required.  

You will be expected to travel to and work at all of Freeman College’s sites in Sheffield when required.
