The Ruskin Mill Trust Group operates five colleges and associated residential provision in Birmingham, Horsley (Gloucestershire), Pembrokeshire, Sheffield, and Stourbridge and an associated site in Darlington, as well as an independent specialist schools in Sheffield and Stourbridge.  We provide innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.

Data and Management Information Manager

Based at Sheffield (With Occasional National Travel)

40 hours per week, Maternity cover role, up to 12 months.

 Grade 8:9, Salary £24,445 - £29,547 dependent on qualifications and experience

We are looking to recruit a new Data and Management Information Manager who will work as part of Central Services to provide robust management information and support the development of the Trust’s student, staff and other Databases / Systems.

You must have the ability to communicate electronic processes to a group of users, be able to manage and use your time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities as well as demonstrate high levels of discretion and confidentiality.

The key duties in this role will include:

  • To act as the provision expert on all student and staff data management systems.
  • To provide reports and data as requested by Senior Managers analysing data requirements, designing solutions and quality assessing.
  • To train and empower users in the use of all systems.
  • To carry out the day to day administration and management of all aspects of the College’s data management systems.
  • To act as support for dealing with user problems on the data management systems.
  • To be responsible for the local statutory returns such as the ILR, and also reporting and providing information for audit requirements to Local Authorities, financial auditors etc.

    To undertake this position successfully you will have:

  • Strong I.T. skills required. Although no specific qualification is required you will be required to present a portfolio of your technical work at the interview stage.
  • Good technical competence and understanding of database technologies.
