Applications are invited for the following post that will be based in Sheffield

Relationship and Welfare Officer

8 hours per week /37 weeks per year

GRADE 6, Full Time Equivalent is £19,733 - £21,431

The pro rata salary for 8 hours and 37 weeks is £2,808 - £3,049

The purpose of the role is to work holistically with students to enable an understanding and ability to manage their own welfare and have healthy relationships with others. This includes receiving education about the relationships that may cause personal harm.

To be successful in the role you will need the following experience/knowledge:

  • Experience of working with young people who have developmental delay/ learning disabilities including ASD/ social and emotional behavioural difficulties and implementing strategies to support their welfare.
  • Working knowledge of the welfare and health referral systems in locality, e.g. Sheffield and Rotherham, Barnsley if based in Sheffield
  • Awareness of how to recognise all forms of abuse and safeguarding protocols.
  • Experience of working for NHS: GP, hospitals, agencies, clinics would be beneficial but not essential.

You will also be required to attend other key and development training sessions as required by the Trust, which may be outside of your usual working hours.
