NGN has an exciting opportunity for a Design Administrator to join our fantastic Design team, within our Commercial department on a 2-year fixed-term contract, based in Leeds.

The Opportunity:

The Design team ultimately provide replacement designs for new work across our gas distribution network; identifying 'at risk' pipes, issuing these to the clusters and also working on re-scopes that are discovered on site.

Working in partnership with the Designer, the Design Administrator will produce drawings, implement design requirements (as identified by the Designer) and manage a wide range of queries from a variety of stakeholders; in particular the clusters and other operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake network analysis for project designs taking into account overall security of supply, customer expectations and commercial considerations.
  • Liaise with operational teams following onsite investigations confirming asset size, material and locations.
  • Assist in the production of NGN's annual mains replacement on an administrative level ensuring wider organisational objectives and targets are achieved.
  • Provide support to the wider design team, including accurate and timely maintenance of MRPS, Synergi and SAP applications.
  • Assist with the annual Network Analysis workload for the design team utilising the Synergi application ensuring all NGN's statutory obligations are met.
  • Ensure all SAP systems are fully and accurately populated with project details.
  • Undertake network analysis for project re-submission when additional information is found on site and update construction drawing with the amendments.
  • Work with other departments to access governor settings, demand information and weather data.

About You:

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work to tight deadlines
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Knowledge and experience in project design principles

Desirable

  • Knowledge of gas mains and service laying techniques
  • Member of IGEM or working towards
  • Experience in the interpretation of maps, design drawings and schematics

What we Offer:

  • 2-year, fixed-term Personal Contract
  • £23,000.00 per annum
  • 25 days annual leave plus recognised bank holidays (per annum)
