Senior Residential Support Worker

40 hours per week/52 weeks per year

 

Total Salary range £19,943 - £22,631 per annum pro rata   (including a market rate supplement) + £70.50 per sleepover

Transform Residential Limited is the associated residential provision of The Ruskin Mill Trust Group which operates five colleges Birmingham, Horsley (Gloucestershire), Pembrokeshire, Sheffield, and Stourbridge, an associated site in Darlington, as well as an independent specialist school in Sheffield.  We provide innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.

Applications are invited for the above post to work flexible hours during a 40 hour week, based in Stourbridge, working primarily during the evenings and weekends, including sleepovers, on a rota basis.

The successful applicant will have a role in supervising a team of Residential Support Workers to implement the daily operational needs of a safe residential house whilst ensuring there is a high quality of care and appropriate levels supervision for the young people in residence.  As a senior practitioner the role will also include input into the preparation of care plans and progress reports and the provision of formal supervision for residential support workers.

A NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent qualifications and a supervisory/ team leading qualification and experience of first line management would be advantageous.
