Exciting opportunity for an experienced full time Stock Controller based in Droitwich, earning between £26k - £28k per annum

We are now recruiting for a Stock Controller to join our growing team at Droitwich. This is a new role to the business and an exciting opportunity for the right person who has the ability to adapt and develop the position as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control:

  • Managing all documents relating to the receipt of incoming loads of all Waste. 
  • Inputting data into Integrated Waste Management System.
  • Booking and documenting outgoing loads of Hazardous Waste into other sites and 3rd party suppliers, inclusive of transport booking for these loads.
  • Calculation of stock levels and costs. 
  • Generating and maintaining accurate stock liability figures.

Warehousing:

  • Monitoring stock levels in individual warehouses and initiate alerts to move aged stock in line with Hazardous Waste legislation.
  • Following policies and procedures and reporting any changes needed.
  • Leading a programme of productivity improvements in relation to the stock control function.

Purchasing: 

  • Taking the responsibly of raising purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner for all out going stock loads from and being the go to person at site for this role.
  • Liaising with finance department on any queries or discrepancies relating to costs, quantities or variations to PO’s.
  • Overseeing supplier costs and seeking alternative suppliers to provide cost savings and being continually active at driving down costs.
  • Improving recycling rates.

Qualifications & Skills

  • GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths 
  • Full, clean driving license 
  • Experience in a warehousing environment or similar position essential
  • Financial background advantageous
  • Able to work effectively with computerised systems
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills
  • Strong organisational ability
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

Terms & Benefits

  • 40 hours per week
  • Annual holidays commence at 21 days, rising to 25 days plus bank holidays;
