Engineering Technician

Our Ink Engineering Team have an exciting opportunity for a Technician to join them, within our Ink Blending/Manufacturing area. This role will maintain, control and develop all Engineering machinery in the area, and in addition support the Ink Engineering Manager and Ink Blending Specialist as required.

Hours of work:

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6pm

Week 2 – Wednesday and Thursday 6am to 6pm

Week 3 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6pm to 6am

Week 4 – Wednesday and Thursday 6pm to 6am

The role of Technician:

• Ensure all tools and equipment meet manufacturing requirements.
• Be conversant in all models and be able to provide advice and guidance.
• Attend mechanical and electrical breakdowns to carry out repairs to a high standard.
• Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure operational processes.
• Generate and implement productive process improvements.
• Monitor and test the operation of production line equipment.
• Train relevant staff in the operation and safety aspects of production lines.
• Maintain and develop machine processes within their department.
• Ensure that all lines and machines are staged and checked to meet demands of the production schedule.

The successful candidate should hold a ONC qualification in Engineering discipline, or equivalent and have previous proven experience in a similar role.
