Design Engineer

Swift Technology Group are looking for a Design Engineer to join their expanding Team on a full time, permanent basis.

Based at Hangar 2, Scottow Enterprise Park (formerly RAF Coltishall) near Norwich, Norfolk; we can offer exceptional working conditions and specialist facilities.

This role will require the successful applicant to work effectively as part of the Swift TG Team to produce technically innovative new products whilst supporting the maintenance and development of existing products.

The ideal applicant will be expected to prepare drawings and other technical outputs consistent with contractual requirements to meet target dates and budget demands, produce and maintain technical documentation including CAD drawings, technical construction files, bills of materials and technical specifications and perform self-verification of own tasks to ensure completeness and quality of information. Additionally, candidates must be able to resolve sketches into detailed working technical drawings and have the ability to draw and 3D model both new and existing Company products.

An HND/HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering and knowledge of drawing standards and the application of geometric tolerances are essential.

Competence with Solidworks / Creo software would be a distinct advantage, along with an understanding of a wide range of manufacturing techniques, materials and assembly processes.
