Team Leader/Senior Operator - Packing Area

The Packing department currently have an opportunity for a Senior Operator/Team Leader to join their team.

The person in this post must have previous experience in both a leadership role.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Friday 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. 

The role of Senior Operator:

• Responsible for the day to day management of the packing process.
• Manage the achievement of the daily production plans ensuring all lines perform at maximum levels.
• Ensure all quality checks and inspections are completed within correct guidelines.
• Review and maintain departmental systems and procedures to ISO standard.
• Ensure downtime is managed efficiently and escalated when required.
• Manage performance within the team.
• Planning of manpower, ensuring production lines are fully manned.
• Manage attendance (sickness, holidays etc).
• Full utilisation of the Engineering team to drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure stock, DAS and PI’s are completed on time and accurately.
• Escalate any issues to the senior departmental team.
• Ordering production consumables for stores, in-line with the production plans.
