Anthroposophic College/School Nurse

40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year

£27,213.00 to £32,464.00 per annum

starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Ruskin Mill Trust as part of the committed team focusing on the health and wellbeing of the children and young people at our provisions in the West Midlands.

This post provides 52 week support to the children and young people by actively leading on the implementation of the Trust’s Home Nursing strategy using Anthroposophic methods and medicines in conjunction with mainstream medicines. Ruskin Mill Trust aims to cae for the overall wellbeing and resilience of the students, as well as all their health needs and wishes to support the healthy rhythms of the students, such as their sleep, digestion and nutrition. The Nurse will provide the staff support and advice to maintain and improve these where necessary in order to support the re-imagination of the student’s potential and enable them to shape their own future. The College/School Nurse will also ensure that the provisions practice safe medication handling and that all staff are fully competent to administer any medication required by the children and young people.

The Trust would be delighted to speak to a Nurse with Anthroposophic training, however, the successful candidate must otherwise be open and willing to attend training about Anthroposophic Medicine and ensure this is integrated and implemented in conjunction with mainstream medicine within each provision.

This post will suit someone who has the significant experience in an appropriate field and wants to work within a holistic organisation that is complex and growing and in return, we offer significant personal development opportunities and an interactive cross –trust induction to experience our unique curriculum from the students’ point of view. The successful applicant will be trained as necessary in Anthroposophic Medicine and will be given support and guidance from qualified practitioners within this profession.
