Glasshouse College provides innovative and experiential education and training for young people marginalised by disadvantage, exclusion or special learning needs.  The College provides an exciting, varied and personalised range of course subjects through its unique Practical Skills Therapeutic Education programme within an integrated day and residential curriculum delivered by skilled and trained staff.

 

We are seeking to recruit to the following role:

TUTOR, HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Tutor Grades MS1 : MS4

Salary banding - £19,733 - £29,547  

 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

40 hours per week, full year role

 

Based at Glasshouse College, Amblecote, Stourbridge

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and professional tutor to deliver one-to-one support around emotional and behavioural issues to young people aged 16-24.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of group work programmes with a focus on healthy relationships and raising self-esteem and provide advice and mentoring on a range of issues.

Applicants for tutoring posts ideally must hold a teaching qualification with QTS status or be working towards a relevant teaching qualification eg. PGCE or relevant Certificate in Education.

To undertake this position successfully, you will have:

  • Knowledge of specialist education;
  • Experience of working with learners with learning difficulties and / or learning disabilities and challenging behaviour;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • A flexible and professional approach to work.
