The Person We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a Client Sales/Renewals Executive, who has a proven track record in selling technology software, to join our team. In your role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the retention rate of the SmartSurvey’s renewals remains above 85%. You will need to build strong relationships with customers to understand if the value of SmartSurvey is being realised by them and in doing so that renewals are secured.

Responsibilities include

  • Deliver retention more than 85% each financial quarter
  • Build relationships with main account holders (customer side)
  • Identify risks / threats to the client being retained come renewal
  • Create and execute on recovery plans for clients who are deemed as a risk of not renewing
  • Look for growth opportunities for SmartSurvey across the existing client base
  • Negotiate commercials and terms of engagements for all existing clients
  • Monitor and forecast retention rates to keep the business informed
  • Conduct online demos of the product when necessary
  • Highlight the benefits of the company’s software products and services
  • Answer technical questions, relating to the product, that clients may have
  • Initiate steps to grow the base of referral sources
  • Work closely with the SmartSurvey team and offer any support when needed with a wide range of tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in commercial client account management, including experience running a significant book of business
  • It is an advantage if you worked in a SaaS business
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • The ability to portray products and services accurately
  • Able to deal professionally with rejection
  • A proven track record of retaining client business, and growing clients via upsell
  • Ability to think on your feet and create compelling business cases
  • Ability to effectively engage senior stakeholders including C-suite
  • Strong commercial understanding, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with and create quotes, invoices and any other accounts related documents
  • Strong ability in using online systems and Microsoft applications (word, excel, etc.)
  • Able to maintain a friendly personable manner under pressure
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service is desirable
