Salary:£27,322-£28,923 (pro rata)
Stockport CP is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join a well-regarded local disability charity rated as Good with CQC in each of the 5 key lines of enquiry areas. We provide invaluable, tailored support to adults, young people and children living with disabilities within Stockport & surrounding areas. The charity works closely with service users and their parents/carers to offer a range of activities designed to maintain and improve individual’s quality of life by broadening experiences and developing networks in their local and surrounding area.
As an HR Advisor you will report directly to the Chief Executive and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees in providing HR input and advice to support the delivery of the Society’s Business Strategy.
This is a generalist role and you will be building relationships, advising managers on best practice HR and provide leadership to the HR Administrator. You will need to have a strong and up to date understanding of employment law/legislation and provide advice to managers.
You will ensure that the recruitment and selection procedures agreed are adhered to and applied consistently and fairly. Take responsibility for the full recruitment cycle including the drafting of job adverts, advice on where to place job adverts, arrange & participate in interview panels including selection criteria and recruitment decision.
You will deal with employee relations cases, such as discipline, grievance, capability etc.
You will develop or revise HR Policies and Procedures to reflect changes in Employment Law and Society needs. Train Line Managers to use the HR Policies and Procedures competently and consistently.
For this HR Advisor role you will need the following skills and experience;
- CIPD Level 7 with 3 years’ experience of working as a HR Advisor
- Generalist HR Experience
- Experience coaching/advising managers
- Strong employment law knowledge
- Enjoy building strong working relationships with a range of colleagues
- Have experience of working within a fast-paced business and working to tight deadlines
- Have the ambition and drive to work within a developing and growing business
- Have the mind set of continuous improvement, constantly looking at ways to improve and streamline HR support
