Are You Uncommon?

The Accounts Associate will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in assisting with preparing financial statements and UK and International accounts, managing ledgers, and Month end close activates. It will be the day to day workings and reporting of the Finance Associate that will guide the recommendations ultimately improving business performance profitability and future growth.  Standards will be met by implementing standard in production, customer service and quality while identifying improvements in the systems and resolving problems. This role reports into Finance Manager.

To be successful in this role, this individual must be fluent in both English and French, have methodical, analytical approach and be able to work to challenging deadlines whilst remaining flexible to the needs of the business. They must be able to demonstrate a proactive attitude and always take the initiative in ensuring project outputs are delivered on time and to the expected quality. They will enjoy working in a strong cross-discipline team in a Software/Technology environment focussed on delivery of robust, high quality, value adding solutions to Solera’s customers.

What You’ll Be Doing as an Accounts Associate

At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what are volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission. The mission 80’s for this role, are:

  • Review the ledgers for accuracy and adjusting miss-postings
  • Working closely with our International accounting advisers to close month end
  • Reconcile all the banks and post the bank entries
  • Performing and investigating balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Support with month end reporting
  • Preparation of statistical submissions
  • Dealing with auditor queries

Are You Qualified for the Accounts Associate Role?

  • Qualifications: Educated to degree level. Part-Qualified Accountant. Relevant experience.
  • Knowledge: Previously worked in similar capacity ideally within an international organisation. Strong financial background. Experience of fast paced, dynamic environments. Knowledge of Finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Prior Accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Navision
