Technical Services Manager - Ashbourne

Trouw Nutrition GB is a Nutreco company based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, and manufactures a range of nutritional products for use in both the agricultural animal feed and pet food industries.

We are recruiting for a new position of Technical Services Manager, based in Ashbourne, to manage and continuously develop the departments that provide regulatory control and technical services, consisting of Laboratory, Quality, Formulations and legislation. 

Responsible for ensuring that regulatory compliance is achieved both internally and on behalf of our customers, you will have the potential, if not there already, to become the recognised technical authority within the industry.    You’ll provide legislative guidance and support to key accounts by attending customers meetings as required and through management of the formulations, quality and laboratory teams you’ll ensure that we provide optimal customer service, within budgeted targets.

This will be a key role pulling together various different areas of the business and therefore you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills together with a strong collaborative management style.   

The ideal Technical Services Manager:

• You will have a relevant science based Degree together with experience gained within the animal nutrition industry. 
• You’ll have a background knowledge of animal feed legislation and relevant quality systems and their application. 
• Ideally, you will also have experience of formulation and laboratory systems.
• You should be able to demonstrate a motivation for continuous improvement and achieving results.
