Housekeeper, based in Gobowen, Oswestry, offering a salary of £1,628.64 per annum. This is a permanent and part -time position. We are looking to recruit two housekeepers to work on a Saturday and Sunday every other weekend throughout the year. ( We will also consider candidates who wish to work every weekend too.)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Housekeepers  to join our College. You will work as part of the Housekeeping Team to ensure the college and residences are cleaned to a high standard in accordance with College procedures and cleaning schedules, in addition to the individual needs and requirements of students and departments

The key role responsibilities are:

  • Ensure all areas of the College/Residences are cleaned to a high standard
  • Compliance with specific cleaning guidelines and schedules
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of staff and students at all times
  • To understand and comply with statutory and legal guidelines that are relevant including H&S, COSHH and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act
  • Ensure that all equipment is in full, safe working order
  • Reporting any faults in equipment to the Campus Team
  • Reporting any maintenance concerns or damaged facilities to the Campus Team
  • Always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur

Person Specification:

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a similar environment
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in Cleaning and Support Services would be a distinct advantage
  • Background working in the care sector would be advantageous
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident and motivated individual
  • Self-starter
  • Possess high standards of cleanliness
