SENIOR TUTOR / IQA
£27,213.00 – £31,203.00 per annum
40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Based at Argent College (Birmingham) and Glasshouse College (Stourbridge)
Ruskin Mill Trust operates colleges and associated residential provisions in Gloucestershire, Pembrokeshire, Sheffield and the Midlands and an associated site in Darlington, as well as an independent specialist school in Sheffield. We provide innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor to oversee a team of tutors and undertake the quality assurance of the college’s day-to-day provision in line with the Trust Quality Assurance processes and protocol.
Main Duties:
- To be the first line manager for a group of tutors
- To work closely with the Deputy Principal to quality assure session delivery both within the local provision and as required across the Trust
- To work closely with the tutors to develop schemes of work and plan sessions accordingly in order to interconnect craft activities throughout the provision
- To ensure that tutors are working closely with the learning assistants and support workers in order to both session plan in accordance to the three stage process as well as embed Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) within their methodological delivery
- To work closely with the Deputy Principal to ensure that tutors adhere to a robust level of communication to the relevant areas of the college in order to effectively progress student towards their outcomes
- To undertake quality assurance duties including the management and coordination of qualifications and internal quality assurance systems; liaising with external bodies as necessary
- To undertake teaching duties as required / To deliver training as required
