Repair Technician

Repair Technician – Permanent - Telford

We are now recruiting a Repair Technician for a well-established, Telford based organisation, on a permanent basis.  You will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment in their Telford office, but also some field-based repair work at client’s premises so a valid UK driver’s licence is essential.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Repair & service defective products - must have the ability to fault diagnose to module & component level

• Compilation of related documentation and technical information

• Assist in the investigation of any quality related problems

• Reporting and preparation of defective parts for return to manufacturing

• On-site repair at client’s premises (company vehicle supplied)

• Telephone based, technical support for clients

To be considered for the role, candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. You will ideally have a minimum of City and Guilds qualification in an Electronics discipline, be able to solder to an acceptable level and carry out diagnosis and fault finding on your own initiative.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

You must have excellent communication skills and be well presented.  This is not an assembly line style environment so you must be able to work through the whole diagnosis, repair and support process. Generous Holiday and Pension packages come with this role at a well-respected company.  

The site is accessible from Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton, Perton, Walsall, Shifnal, Kidderminster, Stafford etc
