Salary Starting salary £28 876 (full time 36 hours per week)

Our Client is looking for a policy officer to manage a portfolio of work including aspects of governance, member and external communications and policy.
Our Client is a forward looking, innovative professional body and trade union that leads the nutrition and dietetic workforce in the UK. They also manage a portfolio of other initiatives including the renowned Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register and back office functions for other organisations.
This is a newly created role which will provide a range of activities to support the function, development and promotion of specific areas of health or nutrition practice including policy support to British and Irish Orthoptic Society and the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register.
The Policy Officer role is very varied and, in any day, you may be:
- supporting the Board and Chairman,
- monitoring media and ensuring timely response,
- developing proactive communications for a range of internal and external media and stakeholders
- Developing a policy position.
If you are interested in the membership or not for profit sector this post will provide a broad experience across the breadth of functions. You are likely to have had experience in a policy, public affairs or membership environment and be looking to develop your career further within a vibrant and supportive team.
