Electrical Technical Support Engineer (Internal) based in Telford, Shropshire offering a salary of circa £30,000 + Bonus 8.33% + Pension


The role of Technical Support Engineer:

To provide the necessary telephone technical support for all products marketed in the UK to Regional Sales teams and customers both Internal & External.


The ideal Technical Support Engineer:

  • The ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers and become an integral part of the technical teams
  • Aptitude to develop knowledge of the electrical contracting trade, electrical systems and installations
  • Professional, entrepreneurial, team player, loyal, customer driven and innovative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Communicator

  • Self motivated


Main duties:

  • Provide national telephone and web based technical support to customers in a professional manner
  • Assist Marketing and Product Management with information received from customers regarding product in range
  • Assist Marketing with document preparation and proof reading
  • Provide sales lead information to sales colleagues for follow up
  • Support regional sales teams with design, drawing take-offs, competitor comparisons etc
  • Providing information for the preparation of quotations
  • Assist Project & Sales team by providing drawings when necessary
  • Provide all communication to customers in a professional manner and within agreed timescales
  • Complete records and reports on time as required by Management for effective internal communication
  • Communicate regularly with members of the team, to ensure full awareness of day-to-day business is achieved
  • Log test report requests and liaise with Quality Department for preparation of expert reports


Hours of work:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 8.30am - 5pm
