We are recruiting an Activities Assistant to join the team at our brand new care complex.

We are a leader in the luxury care home market, offering the best to our clients and we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our brand new team.

Salary: £8.90 per hour

Shift Patterns:
9am - 8pm on a 36 hour contract

The Activities Assistant will work as part of the Activities Team and will be primarily responsible for

promoting and delivering individual and group social activities within our care philosophy, being mindful of each resident’s age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and spiritual needs.

The Activities Assistant will work within a team ethos with the resident’s choices, dignity, independence and personal safety being at the core of all activity.

Assist in organising and delivering individual and group activities within the home’s person-centred
care philosophy, focusing on the following elements:
• Occupational wellbeing
• Intellectual wellbeing
• Spiritual wellbeing
• Environmental wellbeing
• Physical wellbeing
• Social wellbeing
• Emotional wellbeing

Assist in organising and participating in key events held throughout the year, for example, the
summer fete, seasonal celebrations, parties, charity events and so on.

Consideration will be given to each resident’s personal choices and support or care needs
when developing home-based activities arrangements, such as shopping, attending GP,
using sports facilities.

Explore affordable events that promote income generation whilst ensuring all residents have
equal access to events and are not exposed to any form of potential or actual abuse, for
example, physical, emotional or financial.

Provide ongoing support for the residents, their families and the Care Services Team.

About you
Experience in a simular role is essential
A Level 2 (QCF) Supporting Activities Provision in Social Care is desirable but not essential?
Working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation. 
A Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable. 
Able to organise and prioritise workload, and work under pressure.  
Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  
Able to provide basic audit and activity reports.
Full, clean driving licence
