An established global, multi-faceted production company. Our client is looking for a multi skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to work within their existing maintenance team.
The ideal candidate must be a time served engineer/electrician. In addition you will need extensive experience and knowledge of working in a mechanical maintenance role within a fast paced, manufacturing industry and dealing with aged machinery and PLC technology. Initially working day shifts, however flexibility on shift patterns may be required.
Ensuring all electrical systems, apparatus, electric and electronic components of machinery are in good working order. You will also be required to carry out mechanical diagnosis with a mechanical fitter.
Completing preventive maintenance requirements on robots, conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring; following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications; troubleshooting.
Installation of new machinery
Carry out inspection and testing work
Repair electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.
Repair and replace faulty electrical components by such as relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position-sensing devices.
Conserves electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Supervision of a small team of Engineers.
