Our long established client are looking for a production manager to manage their busy production facility based in Bradford.
To manage the production facility.
To carry out general duties at head office in Bradford.
Manage and maintain standards and quality of workmanship on site/in-house by instigating checks and lists.
REQUIRED DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES
Development and implementation of good working practices to the existing joinery workshop.
Coordinate all incoming enquiries for pricing, plan live projects, liaise with clients and supply chain (assist in material procurement).
Link & coordination between shop floor and production team (CAD/Setting Out).
Link & coordination between shop floor and project managers.
Providing weekly reports on production, capacity plans and forecasting.
Assessing weekly/monthly accounts, P&L’s.
Introducing and setting up new improved systems of work.
Quality control throughout full manufacture process.
Working closely with manufacturing team, building morale in difficult trading conditions.
Improving workforce productivity.
Work as a team member.
Overall management of the Production Team.
Support and maintain the Quality Management System and Chain of Custody Procedure
Carry out any other duties as required to fulfil the position
Regularly update the Production Programme using MS Project.
As a Production Manager, you will be expected to act as part of a team and as such, your job role may occasionally be altered to help others complete their duties.
C & G or NVQ level 3
Minimum of 10 years in management within a joinery manufacturing organisation
Previous experience as a Production Manager for a Joinery Manufacturing Workshop.
