Duties & Responsibilities
This is a temporary, part-time role assisting our technical department for the duration of a specific project. It is an office-based role involving contacting our suppliers in order to update our records.
The candidate will be expected to contact suppliers by email and telephone and request quality and technical documents so will need to have a polite manner and be a confident communicator.
They will then be expected to conduct initial proof-reading to ensure that the documents meet specified requirements. This will require an eye for detail and would benefit from experience in Quality Assurance or a similar field.
Additionally they will be expected to maintain an excel-based cataloging system to ensure that we have all the documents that we should have, from a very large number of suppliers. This will require a competence with spreadsheets, patience and attention to detail.
The hours could be negotiable for the right candidate, but would certainly fall within office hours, Mon-Fri.
- Windows proficient (specifically Excel).
- Fastidious attention to detail.
- Organised and tidy.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Confident working independently (specifically chasing up suppliers on phone and email)
- Ability to be politely assertive when required.
- Experience in food industry, experience of cheese.
- Knowledge of HACCP.
- Previous experience in quality assurance / quality control.
