Lee Warren Fabrication and Design Limited is a leading specialist architectural metalwork company working on large high profile commercial and residential developments in London and the South East.

We specialise in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of architectural metalwork, structural steelwork, bespoke and standard metalwork, sheet metalwork in both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and a wide range of architectural glass and glazing systems.

We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer (MICE or IStructE) to work from our new modern Central London office near Barbican tube station.

Reporting to the Design Director, this is a key role within our busy Design Department. You will be working on a diverse construction project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

Producing structural calculations to Structural Eurocodes and British standards.

Designing structures efficiently using all main materials including structural glass.

Liaising with internal designers to produce designs and working with the design team to ensure successful project delivery.

Apply expert knowledge to advise on impact of using different materials on design of structures and how to improve their structural integrity.

Essential skills and knowledge

Chartered Engineer (MICE or IStructE)

Experience of design in glass and steel from concept to completion

Experience of working on a range of construction projects

Detailed knowledge of EuroCodes and Building Regulations

Strong analytical, problem-solving and 3-dimensional conceptual skills

Experience of using CAD software platforms such as Advanced Steel, Tekla, Solidworks or AutoCAD

Master Series structural design software or equivalent preferable

Good standard of literacy and numeracy

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Team player with an enthusiastic approach
